The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has warned parents and guardians of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates against coming with their wards to Computer Based Test centers, which it said may hamper the successful conduct of the examination.

This was disclosed during on Tuesday by the Lagos State JAMB Coordinator, Babatunde Bamisoye, during the matriculation of newly admitted students at the Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka, Yaba, Lagos.

“As far as UTME is concerned, we do not allow parents to come into the premises of the centres. My advice to parents is that they should keep off because their coming has no value, rather it may hinder the success of the exam. Parents need only to get the students prepared with transportation money. Allow them go to their centers and return home,” he stated.

He also said that JAMB had visited the seventy-eight accredited CBT centers and certified them technically fit to conduct the examination starting on the 11th of April, 2019.
