The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Wednesday released 3,736 fresh 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results after the examination board had invited candidates to come for physical verification and prove that they were not involved in exam malpractices.
Campusbiz learnt that the affected candidates were invited last Monday for the verification by the board.
However, four candidates were discovered to have been involved in examination malpractices ranging from inflating of scores to cheating and therefore had their results withheld.
According to JAMB, the candidates whose results were withheld are, Adah Eche, Taiwo Omowunmi, Vincent Onyinyechi and Afolashade Zainab.
The Head of Information of the examination board, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, who confirmed the development, said JAMB would not spare efforts in identifying and sanctioning any candidate who attempted to falsify UTME.
