The River state executive governor, Ezenwo Wike has stated that the River state government will construct a deserving convocation arena for the University of Port Harcourt.
According to Leadership Newspaper, the amiable governor made this known when the committee of the West African Universities Games (WAUG), paid him a courtesy visit at the government house in Port Harcourt on Saturday.
Governor Wike has already asked the institution’s authority to present the design and cost implications of the proposed convocation arena to the state government for further action and also directed the state commissioner of education to ensure that the Elechi Amadi Building, completed by his administration for the university was connected to electricity.
Governor Wike stated that his administration will continue to support the growth and development of the institution.
