Alex Ekwueme University to Honor Alake of Egba Land

The Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo in Ebonyi state will on December 18, 2018, honor the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III with an honorary doctorate degree.

According to the Nations News, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Chinedu Nwajiuba made this known while speaking during the pre-convocation press briefing of the institution. The VC said that the Royal father who is also the university’s chancellor would be conferred with a honorary doctorate degree in management.

“For the first time, we shall be awarding honorary doctoral degrees and the first will be our Chancellor, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III CFR, Alake of Egbaland.

“The second person will be Prof. Ihechukwu Madubuike who was the Minister of Education in 1079 during the Shagari era and I think he is the oldest Minister of Education in Nigeria. He will be honored with doctor of letters,” the VC said.

The VC added by giving the details about the graduating students. He said 15 had first class, 188 had second class upper, 145 made second class lower and seven made third class.
