An old student of Renson Idahosa University (BIU), has awarded a full scholarship for master degree to the best overall student of the institution who is interested in furthering his or her education at BIU.
Prof. Sam Guobadia, Vice Chancellor of the university, disclosed this at the 15th convocation ceremony of the university, saying that the donoe of the award was the best graduating student of the class of 2008.
The VC made it known that the donor also pledged the sum of one million naira for the overall best graduating student effective from 2020 convocation ceremony.
While commending the gesture, the VC charged the 2019 “class of elite” to be challenged by the alumni and also plan to give back when they are blessed.
According to reports made available to campusbiz, out of the 741 graduating students of the institution, 593 graduated with baccalaureate and 148 post graduate degrees.
