Dr. Einstein, a final year student of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma was reportedly killed in a cult clash on Tuesday. The incident, reported by students of the Institution was confirmed by men of the Nigerian Police.
Several students were reportedly injured during the fight between two rival cult groups. The cult clash came about during the graduation party of the graduating students at Judges Quarters in Ekpoma.
“Two people were fighting and some guys tried to separate them but they wouldn’t bulge. One of the fighters claimed his cloth was torn by one of the guys separating then and he left in anger. On returning, he came with his friends armed with guns and other weapons. He and his friends shot him (victim) dead while others were seriously battered,” Ezekiel Erhabor (a student) told Premium Times.

One of the students who was also at the party, spoke with Premium Times under anonymity said that the deceased and his killers are cultists but belong to different cult groups.
“They were only waiting for themselves to use the graduation ceremony as a medium to carry out their operation. Cultism on this campus is not what anyone can just jump into, it is deadly,” he said.
Efforts made by CAMPUSBIZ to confirm the incident from the Institution’s spokesman proved abortive as he did not answer calls made by the reporter.
