The Executive Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, on Thursday, donated N10 million to supplement the feeding of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in the state for a three-week orientation camp
Gov. Obiano made the donation while declaring open the 2019 orientation camp ceremony of over two thousand Batch ‘B’ corps members at the Umunya orientation camp, in the Oyi LGA of the state.
The Governor, who was duly represented by the State’s Head of Service, Harry Udu, gave assurances of his administration’s continued support of the scheme.
“I hereby direct the NYSC Coordinator to ensure the provision of the most sumptous meal as I shall be supplementing the feeding in the Anambra camp with the sun of N10 million.
“We will continue to provide the enabling environment for the youths to maximize their potentials,” the Governor stated.
Obiano urged the corps members to take advantage of the numerous youth-friendly policies and conducive environment in the state to build prosperity for themselves and the country at large.
