AOCOED Confers Lateef Jakande With Fellowship Award

The first ever governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande has been conferred with the Fellowship award by the Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (AOCOED), Ijanikin, Lagos state.

Senator Olamilekan Adeola, representing Lagos West Senatorial District and Alhaji Fatai Shokunbi, CEO of Fams Embassy Hotel in Badagry, were also recognized at the joint 36th, 37th and 38th convocation ceremony of the institution with the prestigious diamond award of the college.

The Visitor of the institution, Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode congratulated the 5,674 graduates of the institution from the full time, school of part-time and centre for outreach programs.

Gov. Ambode who was represented by the commissioner of agriculture, Mr. Toyin Saura, urged the newly graduated students to sustain the scholarly attributes abundantly planted in them in the past five years of their stay at the college.

Earlier, the Provost of the College, Dr. Mrs. Aina Ladele had expressed appreciation to the Visitor for the increment in the monthly subvention of the College, adding that it had helped a lot in settling about half of the N1.5 billion in staff salaries and staff’s third-party deduction.
