The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) of the Taraba State University has suspended its two-momth-old strike following the agreement between the union and the Taraba State Government.
ASUU TSU Chairman, Dr. Samuel Shikaa, made this known immediately after a meeting of the union in Jalingo on Friday.
According to the chairman, the affers given to the union by the state government were “partially considered and approved by our Congress” and based on that, the srike was suspended.
The union, which directed its members to resume back to work immediately, also called on the students to resume for academic activities.
Shikaa expressed optimism that the government would fulfil its part of the agreement to ensure an uninterrupted academic calendar, henceforth.
