
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo; Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Bishop Matthew Kukah and about four hundred scholars have been billed to speak at the annual Toyin Falola 9th International Conference at the Babcock University in Ogun state.
Also expected at the conference, which is to hold between 1st and 3rd of July, 2019, is the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Dr. Dapo Abiodun amongst other dignitaries.
The International lecture will be hosted by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Ademola Tayo.
The coming event was contained in a statement by the Dean of Veronica Adeleke School of Social Sciences of the institution, Dr. Olajumoke Yacob-Haliso.
According to the statement, former President Obasanjo will be the Special Guest of Honour while the 400 scholars are from diverse academic fields from reputable academic institutions across the world.
“The opening keynote adress will be delivered by the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Dr. Matthew Kukah, on the topic, ‘Caesar and God: Prophetic Engagement of the State in Africa’,” the statement read.
