The Covenant University, Ota, Ogun state has been ranked as the best Nigerian University in the latest Times Higher Education ranking released on the 26th of September 2018, Punch reports.
The Times Higher Education ranking body is the brain behind the world’s most influential university ranking which has been in existence for almost five decades of experience as a source of analysis on higher education.
It is recalled that Covenant University was ranked within the 601-800 bracket which made school become the first Nigerian University to record such a milestone in a short period of time.
The current Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Aderemi Atayero, introduced the “ReCITe Agenda”, which would entail an intensive research approach to enhance the vision of becoming one of the top 10 universities in the world by the year 2022 known as Vision 10:2022.
