
The Federal Teaching Hospital (FETHA), according to reports, has been made a teaching hospital for the MBBS Program of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, Ebonyi state by the Federal Government.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Abakaliki by Mr. Iyke Ubochi who is the Public Relations Officer of the institution.
He said the change was made known during the 53rd meeting of the Senate which was held last week.
According to the Public Relations Officer, following the development, FETHA will be renamed Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital.
“Therefore, FETHA will now be referred to as Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital. The good news was made known by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba during the 53rd meeting of Senate held on the 14th of Feb. 2019,” the statement read.
