Skyline University, a new private university, which is focused on research, creativity and entrepreneurship studies, was inaugurated on Monday in the commercial city of Kano and also commenced its maiden orientation for the first set of students numbered 160, according to Punch.
Prof. Prana Krishna, Vice Chancellor of the institution, while speaking with pressmen, described the university as the first private university in Kano. He stated that the university was established in the year 1990 in the United Arab Emirate.
“The University was founded to complement the Federal Government’s efforts toward providing qualitative education for the youths in the state, including the region at large, so as to measure up with their counterparts from the other parts of the county.
“The University will run 50 courses which had all been approved by the Nigerian University Commission (NUC) and would formally kickoff with 200 students by January 2019,” Krishna said.
