FUNAAB VC Seeks Foreign Aid For Institution

Prof. Felix Salako, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has said that the university is in urgent need of foreign aid to enable it attain academic growth and development.

The VC made this known during a one-week building seminar organised for Directors and Heads of Department of the institution.

Prof. Salako said that academic development should not be left to government alone, adding that both foreign and corporate bodies in the country must be part of the development, noting that higher institutions of learning in Nigeria, especially in FUNAAB, possessed the resources and manpower to make the country great but needs support from the government and private oganisations.

“AWARD Programs has contributed a lot to our academic growth and professional development. Through AWARD, there have been out-reaches to women in the rural areas and that is part of our mandate. We have also gained in the area of training,” Salako stated.

The Deputy Director of Programs of AWARD, Michelle Mboo-Tchouawou, while speaking at the ceremony, dsecribed FUNAAB as a performing member of AWARD and urged members of the group to keep the flag flying.
