FUTA: 206 Graduates Bag First Class

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Prof. Phillip Oguntunde had said that out of 4800 students who are graduating from the institution, 206 of them finished with first class degree.

The DVC made this known on Friday, Nov. 23, 2018, during a press conference in preparation of the coming 30th convocation ceremony of the institution.

The DVC according to NAN also said that a student in the department of Applied Geology, Adebodun Samuel was the overall best graduating student of the institution with a CPGA of 4.91.

The DVC said that, for the 2016/17 academic year, 86 made first class, 931 made second class upper, 1258 made second class lower while 454 made third class. For the 2017/18 academic year, 120 made first class, 800 made second class upper, 617 made second class lower while 271 made third class.
