
The Greenfield University, Kaduna will commence academic activities by May, 2019 with 315 students in two faculties. This was made known by the Pro Chancellor of the institution, Simon Nwakacha.
According to Nwakacha, the university would commence with the faculty of social and management sciences and the faculty of applied and pure sciences (science and technology).
“The university has completed arrangement to start with two faculties of social and management sciences and the faculty of applied and pure sciences. The university can boast of international standard laboratories, hostels, cafeteria and other state of the art facilities and has been approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC),” he stated.
Speaking on the aim behind the establishment of the university, the founder said it was established due to his immense patriotism and love for Nigeria.
He said that the host community has benefitted from citing of the institution in the location in various ways such as provision of water supply, employment opportunities as well as security.
He said the university is also in the process of building a police post for the safety of both students and members of the host community.
