The Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo state, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Water Resource Institute, Kaduna, to promote academic staff and student exchange on joint research.
Speaking after the signing of the MOU, Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Lawrence Ezemonye, stated that the partnership would benefit both institutions in the areas of knowledge sharing.
The VC said the university had always craved access to quality education while also maintaining its goal of being the centre for knowledge and excellence.
“Other areas of collaboration include, exchange of publications, reports and other academic/technical information, joint conferences, workshops, seminars and related activities, advocacy and public awareness campaign on water among others,” Prof. Ezemonye stated.
Prof. Emmanuel Adanu, Executive Director of the institute, assured the management of Igbinedion University of adequate collaboration in the area of capacity building and staff exchange.
