The Igbinedion University, Okada in Edo state has said the institution is planning to patner with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), Edo State chapter for a degree programme in Quantity Surveying.
Prof. Lawrence Ikechukwu Ezemonye, Vice Chancellor of the private university, made this known while receiving the executive members of the state chapter of the institute in his Okada office.
While assuring the university’s readiness to commence a degree program in the program as soon as possible, the VC noted that, apart from being professionals, almost all of the members of the executives are entrepreneurs, which according to him is his desire for all the graduates of Igbinedion University.
Ezemonye expressed joy at the board’s readiness to assist the university in setting up the program, especially its preparedness to help the university in sourcing for personnel for training students who will be admitted into the degree program.
The VC said he was excited to hear that the programme could be mounted in the College of Engineering, where the College of Environmental Science is non-existent, adding that the programme will be of immense benefit for all.
