KolaDaisi University VC Calls For Parents’ Collaboration

Prof. Kolade Luke Ayorinde, Vice Chancellor of KolaDaisi University in Ibadan, has called on parents of institution’s students to join hands with the school to train the students both morally and academically.

Ayorinde made the call while addressing parents at the maiden Parents Consultative Forum (PCF) meeting of the university which was recently held.

The VC stated that although KDU is not a faith-based institution, it cares about the spiritual well-being of its students by encouraging and supporting free religious activities that do not impinge on the freedom of others.

Charging the parents further on the need for continous support in all ramifications, the VC stated that, “We will like to get in touch with you often to give you feedback on your children. It will, therefore, be appreciated if you can ensure that we have your correct phone numbers or e-mail addresses if you desire”.

He added that the institution desired to hear from them from time to time and to work closely with each of them now and in the years ahead, noting that the university had zero tolerance for cultism, use of narcotics and other dangerous drugs, intimidation, indecent dressing and other social vices.

The Regisrar, Mrs. Omotayo Ikotun, while taking the responses, observations and comments of the parents, enjoined them to cooperate with the university and to work hand in hand in the interest of the future of their children and wards.
