Great Ife Mainland Metro, the Lagos State branch of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Alumni Association, has donated hospital equipments to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).

The association, during a visit to the Teaching Hospital’s Maternal and Child Health Centre and the Paediatric Unit, donated four drip stands, one nebulising machine, one suction machine, two pulse odometer, pack of clinical thermometers and syringes.

According to a statement on Friday, the association also donated 25 pieces of cotton wool, a carton of examination gloves and one carton of antiseptic.

“In life, we think of many things we can do; so, we observed that a lot of people like visiting less privileged homes. But the sick and patients are also part of the needy and our visit is to demonstrate how all of us can be of help to the needy in our midst.

“For example, a woman may just have been delivered of a baby and there is no money to pay the hospital bills. Patients in hospital could be in dire need of financial help and other medical items. So, this has informed our visit and donations to them,” Taylor stated.
