The Lagos State University (LASU) has said that the resumption time for members of staff of the institution remains 8am, while the closing time remains 4pm.
According to the university’s registrar, the affirmation is in a bid to instill efficiency, timeliness, service delivery and to build confidence in the university.
The Registrar of the institution, Mohammed Olayinka Amuni, said “this information becomes imperative because the authority has noticed that some members of staff do not resume work or be at their duty post at the appropriate time.”
Amuni, in the company of the deputy registrar visited some offices, units, departments , centers, faculties, discovered that as at 9am, a large number of the workforce had not resumed for duty at their duty post.
“In view of this unpleasant development, members of staff are strongly advised to desist from coming late to the office as well as not staying at their duty posts,” the Registrar stated.
“So, members of staff who were not found at their duty posts on Monday are warned to desist from such act. Henceforth, those found contravening the resumption rule would be sanctioned accordingly,” the Registrar added.
