LASU VC Urges Students To Shun Cultism, Adhere To Dress Code

Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University (LASU) has warned newly admitted students to the institution to be of good conducts, resist pressure to join questionable clubs and adhere strictly to the university dress code.

The Vice Chancellor addressed the students at the university’s central screening exercise for the fresh admitted students for 2018/2019 academic session, which started on the 1st of March and will end on the 8th of March, 2019 at the institution’s main auditorium.

He welcomed them officially to Lagos State University (LASU) and also congratulated them for making it to this stage.

“Over forty thousand candidates chose to come to the university but less than six thousand were offered admission. I admonish you today to be of good behavior, adhere strictly to the university dress code, avoid any pressure to join a cult group and report anyone trying to lure you to the security officers,” the VC stated.

Fagbohun commended the screening committee headed by the Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Wahab Elias for a job well done and for the orderliness in the auditorium.
