LASU: VP Osinbajo To Deliver 23rd Convocation Lecture

As part of the activities lined up for the 23rd Convocation Ceremony of the Lagos State University (LASU), Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is billed to deliver the convocation lecture themed; “Africa Centres of Excellence in African Universities: A Veritable Catalyst for Nation Building and Development”.

The convocation lecture is scheduled to hold on Thursday, May 16, 2019 and also expected as Chairman of the occasion is the former Ghanaian President, John Damani Mahama.

Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, Vice Chancellor of the university made this known on Thursday at a press conference to brief the general public of the activities lined up for the coming convocation ceremony.

According to the VC, the university would graduate a total number of 14,369 students comprising of diploma, first and higher degree holders.

Giving a breakdown, Fagbohun disclosed that 57 students bagged First class, 1,223 Second class upper, 8,471 Second class lower, 467 Third class and 24 in the Pass grade.

Other activities lined up for the convocation ceremony include, Convocation cup competition, Jumat service, Special thanksgiving service, Traditional coconut breaking festival, Convocation play and Award of first and higher degrees.
