The newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH), Prof. Michael Olufisayo, has been tasked to embark on strategies and innovative ways to revolutionalize the university to meet its set objectives and standard.
A member of the Osun state Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Kamil Oyedele, gave the challenge during the defense of the 2019 proposed estimation of the university before the state parliament in Oshogbo.
Oyedele enjoined the new Vice Chancellor to emulate his predecessor in office so that the university could regain its lost glory.
He also urged the management of the institution to turn their weaknesses to opportunities to move the institution forward and sustain its known status as the best University of Technology in Nigeria.
“I want to advise you to use your weakness as opportunity to lift the school to greater height and we need to sustain all what is binding us together.
“I assure you that the House will give you all maximum support to succeed in that institution of learning,” Oyedele stated.
The lawmakers in their separate reactions advised the management to always relate with education committee to achieve success. They also advised them to use their experience to lift the university higher in learning and character.
Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, is jointly owned and financed by the Oyo state and Osun state governments.
