Abducted OAU Lecturer Released By Kidnappers

The abductors of Prof. Olayinka Adegbehingbe, a lecturer in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, who was abducted on Sunday evening along Ile-Ife/Ibadan expressway, have released him.

Prof. Adegbehingbe was kidnapped around Ikoyi, a small town in Isokan Local Government area of Osun state.

The Director of Media of the palace of the Ooni, Moses Olafare, told newsmen that the professor’s wife, Bernice, has confirmed the release of her husband in a telephone conversation on Monday evening.

“I spoke to the wife and she confirmed that Prof. Adegbehingbe had been released. Thanks for your support,” Olafare stated.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Folasade Odoro, also told newsmen that the OAU professor had been released
