McPherson Univerity, a faith-based institution located in Ogun state has been able to secure a permanent license from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to operate as a full fledge private institution.
According to The Nation News, this was disclosed by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Adeniyi Agunbiade at a press conference on the campus to announce the school’s third convocation.
“We are happy to announce to the general public that McPherson University has come to stay in its drive to change the face of university education positively. We have been working tirelessly to impart quality education and excellence in line with our vision.
“This effort has been crowned by the issuance of permanent license by NUC to operate as full fledge private university. For us, this is a significant process and it happened within the first six years of our takeoff,” the VC said.
The VC added by saying that the institution maintained uninterrupted sessions and crisis-free administration because of the mechanism put in place to respond to identified challenges, which could affect the smooth running of the school’s academic calendar.
