Nigerian Bottling Company Donates ACs, Plasma TVs To ABU Students

The Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) Limited, bottler of Coca-cola brands in Nigeria, has donated Plasma televisions and Air conditioning units to the management of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria as part of its contribution towards improving the learning environment for youths in the country.

Ekuma Eze, Public Affairs and Communications Director of NBC, speaking shortly after the donation of the items, said the donation was a demonstration of the company’s confidence in Nigerian youths and support for academic excellence as youth development remains a major focal point of the company’s corporate social responsibility framework.

Eze, who was represented by Aminu Mohammed, Regional Public Affairs and Communications Manager (North), said that over the years, NBC’s community investments have evolved from unconnected philanthropic initiatives to long-term programs aligned to three key strategic priorities including the empowerment of youth and women; the creation of a world without waste and water stewardship.

“In his remarks, Prof. Mohammed Dabo, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, ABU, expressed appreciation to the management of NBC for their support towards enhancing for the students.

According to the Deputy Dean, the donation of the gift items would improve recreation for the students on the campus which he described as a huge support which is expected to enrich the learning experience for the students.
