NUC Approves 36 New Programmes For FUD

The National Universities Commission (NUC), has officially agreed to the commencement of thirty-six new courses for Federal University Dutse (FUD), Jigawa state.

 

Prof. Fatimah Batul Muktar, Vice Chancellor of the institution, made this known on Saturday at the 4th Convocation Ceremony of the university, saying that she would not rest on her oars until the university became a stronghold for learning.

 

According to the VC, a total number of 528 students, from various faculties of the University, graduated this year with different classes of degrees. She said fourteen of the students made first class.

 

“I am pleased to inform you that, after rigorous conduct of Resource Verification Exercise by the NUC, the university has commenced 36 new programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels within the present academic session,” she stated.

 

In his speech, the Visitor to the university, President Muhammadu Buhari, who was represented by the Executive Secretary of NUC, Prof. Abubakar Abdulrasheed, called on private and public organizations and other patriotic Nigerian citizens to invest in research and development.
