Abubakar Rasheed Lawal, the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), has commended Kola Daisi University (KDU) in Ibadan, Oyo state for its outstanding achievements just within its first year of operations.
According to Independent newspaper, Lawal paid a courtesy visit to the private institution recently and commended the management of the school for a job well done. He commended the management for critical hurdles and attainment of a stage that would enable it to easily attract quality staff and students to achieve its vision.
He further urged the management of the university to ensure that all hands are on deck in order to realize the vision of its founder by sustaining the enviable progress towards achieving the vision to become an institution of global reckoning.
The NUC Boss was accompanied on the visit by the Commission’s Director of Research, Innovation and Communication Technology, Dr. Suleiman Raman Yusuf and the Director of Accreditation, Dr. Noel Biodun Saliu.
Prof. Kolade Ayorinde, Vice Chancellor of the university, commended the foresight of the founder, Chief Kola Daisi for his massive investment in the Nigeria education sector which he noted would be to the benefit of future generations.
