The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Monday said the scheme has apprehended ten persons who attempted to enroll with fake school certificates for registration in some of its orientation camps across the country.
Adenike Adeyemi, the scheme’s spokesperson, in a statement, said that three of the culprits were apprehended in Taraba State Orientation Camp who claimed to have graduated from Istop University, Cotonou.
NYSC stated that it discovered that the culprits could neither write nor say anything logical about their cerficates or defend their programmes of study.
Also, NYSC Verification Officers detected two persons who claimed to have graduated from the Imo State University (IMSU) in Katsina State Orientation Camp, adding that four persons were also fished out with fake credentials of IMSU in Kebbi State Orientation Camp, Dakingari.
