The Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, will today be hosted by the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) for the Students’ Innovation Challenge.

According to the Sun Newspaper, the Vice President is scheduled to witness the South East/South South edition of the innovation challenge. He will use the opportunity to inspect the technological centre and science park of the first generation university.

He disclosed that the institution has broken an academic record as it would award over 400 PhD degrees at the convocation.

He said it is a feat, unprecedented in the history of any Nigerian University in just one single ceremony.

Also, according to the VC, wife of Nigeria’s first president, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Prof. Uche Azikiwe, and ten other renowed professors, who served the university meritoriously would be conferred with professor emeritus.
