
Mr. Olaolu Akinola Olugbenga, Rector of igbajo Polytechnic, Igbajo in Osun state and the former Acting Deputy Vice-chancellor of Oduduwa University in Ogun state has been arrested by men of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission for the alleged forgery of a Doctorate degree certificate.
This was made in a statement by Mrs. Rasheedat Okoduwa, the commission’s spokesperson, issued and signed by her in Abuja on Monday accordingto the Nigerian Tribune.
Olugbenga is currently being detained by the Ibadan branch office of the commission. He was undergoing interrogation after investigations carried out by operatives acting on a petition. It was confirmed that the suspect was actually guilty of working with a fake PhD Certificate which he claimed he got from the University of Ibadan.
The commission said further action in accordance with the laws would be taken at the end of the investigation
