While receiving the management of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, the Oyo state governor-elect, Engr. Seyi Makinde has promised the support of his administration for the institution.
Engr. Makinde who received the institution’s management who paid him a courtesy visit at his Ikolaba residence said he knew what LAUTECH was going through and expressed his commitment to rescuing it from the ‘claws of death.’
While charging the Prof. Michael Ologunde-led administration to continue to consolidate on the university’s leadership position, he stressed that his government was not against disciplining students and staff, provided it was done with human feeling.
Earlier in his remarks, the VC, had reiterated to the governor-elect that the management had no hand in the suspension of the students union president, Abiodun Oluwaseun adding that the prescription of the union became the last plausible option to avoid breakdown of law and order that stared his administration in the face.
