The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Enugu chapter, has called on the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), to call off witches conference scheduled to hold this week at the institution.
The Enugu chapter of the Christian body on Sunday declared that Enugu State is in serious danger if the proposed conference on witches is allowed.
The body described the proposed witches conference as a subtle way of handling Enugu state over to the kingdom of darkness.
Bishop Godwin Madu, Chairman of PFN in Enugu state, who declared the opposition in a statement made available to pressmen, stated that “We cannot fold our hands and watch our future being dragged into what will not give God glory.
“To this end, the Church in Enugu has declared two-day prayer of warfare. We must not allow this a time like this, as we have had enough of ungodly activities in the country already. The Church should pray against those sponsoring evil in the state.”
“It will be in the interest of the Vice-Chancellor and others to cancel the event as holding it would amount to declaring war against God and they know what the implications will be,” Madu added.
