Satlong Ahmed who hails from Plateau state has emerged as the best graduating student of ISM Adonai University, Cotonou, Benin Republic.
Mr. Mohammed Adamu, Registrar of the institution disclosed this in Jos on Friday when he led other officials of the university to robe Governor Simon Lalong who was recently conferred with the university’s Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PhD).
Adamu noted that the university authorities found Lalong worthy of the doctorate degree because of his outstanding performance as a governor.
“Ahmed, a first class International Relations graduate of 2017/18 session, scored a record cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.84. in the history of the university, this is the first time a student will be graduating with such CGPA.
“The university has concluded arrangements to name a lecture theatre after Plateau to honor Ahmed,” the Registrar stated.
The Governor, in his remarks, said that in line with his administration’s policy, the best graduating student would be given scholarship to study abroad up to PhD level. He appreciated the institution authorities for finding him worthy of the doctorate degree.
