The Sokoto state Government has spent well over three billion naira in the payment of student scholarships. Waziri Aminu Tambuwal, Governor of Sokoto state, disclosed at the farewell ceremony reception in honor of hundred students sponsored by the state government to undergo various medical courses in India.
“Education was the cornerstone for all advancements had been prioritized by his administration through the declaration of a state of emergency in the education sector.
“Fifty out of the hundred students are females which clearly confirmed the administration resolve to encourage girl-child education in the state.
