Six undergraduate students of the Benson Idahosa University, Benin city, Edo state, according to reports, have narrowly escaped death while on their way to resume school.
Soala Ogan, one of the accident victims said they were on their way to school from Port Harcourt when a reckless driver hit their vehicle which made their car somersault several times before it stopped. And to their dismay, they all came out of the vehicle unhurt.
According to Soala, she had her seat belt on and was on the phone with her dad when the tragedy occurred. She expressed gratitude that she has taught to always use her seat belt and it must have contributed to saving her life.
Laurie Idahosa, daughter-in-law of the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa posted the pictures taken from the accident scene on her instagram page thanking God for protecting the students.
