The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), according to reports, has disbursed a total of N208 billion to public Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education as part of its 2019 intervention programme.
Prof. Suleiman Bogoro, Executive Secretary of TETFund, disclosed this in Abuja on Friday, adding that the money which each university got N826.6 million, polytechnic N566.7 million and college of education N542.2 million, was allocated as annual direct disbursement to the beneficiary institutions.
TETFund boss, speaking at a meeting with heads of tertiary institutions, said one university, polytechnic and college of education from each of the six geo-political zone would also benefit from another special high impact intervention of about N30 billion.
According to Bogoro, each university under the special intervention project would receive N3 billion while polytechnics and colleges of education would N1 billion.
He noted that the agency had between January and June 2019 successfully disbursed N19.9 billion for physical infrastructures and library interventions.
