University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has gotten the sole right to host the next five National Youth Games. This information was disclosed by the Director, Grass roots development in the Ministry of Youths and Sports in person of Dr. Demola Aare.
Mr. Aare said the institution has a subsisting Memorandum of Understanding, MOU, signed with the Ministry which signifies that UNILORIN is entitled to host five editions that will be terminated by 2023.

Aare also debunks the impression that the National Youth Games is hosted by the Kwara state Government stressing that the host of the Youth Games is the University of Ilorin till 2023 when the right will be terminated.
He stated that UNILORIN gets adequate support from the state government to enhance the successful hosting of the current and the previous games staged at the University campus.
