Chairman, Board of Trustees of the newly approved Trinity University, Yaba, Mr. Samuel Olatunji has identified research, entrepreneurial and practical skills as the university’s core areas of focus in its efforts to transform tertiary education sub-sector and reposition it to meet global standards.
He made this known at the press briefing of the university which was held at its city campus.
Olatunji also disclosed that the university would open its doors wide open to fresh students as from April, 2019.
Olatunji stated that the university is poised to combine academic excellence with high moral and ethical standard in the pursuit of entrepreneurship-focused education.
“We are assembling a faculty of seasoned academics as well as administrators who are united with the ownership in our vision of making a difference in nurturing and building up youths for a life of meaning, success and impact. There is in place, a strong training and development program and performance evaluation to ensure adequate competencies are in place in a rapidly changing world,” he stated.
An elated Olatunji disclosed that the university, to be mentored by the University of Lagos (UNILAG) would commence academic activities with two faculties and 14 courses in April.z
