The University of Abuja (UNIABJA), according to report, has disclosed that an investigation report on alleged sexual harassment of a female student of the institution by a professor and a former dean of the Faculty of Agriculture has been submitted.
The management of the university has also promised to publicise the outcome of the probe which commneced in August 2019.
The Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Abdul-rasheed Na’Allah, in his response to the development during an interview with pressmen, noted that the matter was being looked into by a disciplinary committee determined to do a “thorough job.”
Prof. Na’Allah also added by saying that the University of Abuja would not accept any form of harassment.
It is recaled that the institution on the 4th of August, 2019 suspended the lecturer in question for alleged sexual harassment of a female student of the institution.
The victim had reported the lecturer to the police after they allegedly set up a meeting at a hotel in the Gwarimpa area of Abuja in July, 2019.
