The members of the 1987 and 2018 sets of the College of Health Sciences, University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), have donated four different sporting facilities worth over two million naira to the Institution.
According to the University, the facilities provided are Lawn Tennis, Badminton, Volley Ball and Basket Ball Courts with their equipments.
While inaugurating the facilities, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Sulyman Abdulkareem, commended the class of 1987 and the class of 2018 alumni of the College of Health Sciences. He described the alumni as exemplary and their gesture as worthy of emulation.
The Vice Chancellor who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research, Technology and Innovations, Prof. Mukaila Buhari described the actions of the alumni as noble in contributing generously to their alma mater.
“The Vice Chancellor particularly commended the donors for deeming it fit to put in place such a laudable recreational centre for the university that produced them. He pledged that the university management would improve on the facilities by adding more sport facilities that will make the College Sports Centre a cynosure of all eyes,” he stated.
