The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has said it had concluded arrangements to build four different 1,500-capacity ultra modern lecture theatres.
The Director of Physical Planning Unit of the institution, Dr. Bashir Adams, made this known to pressmen in Ilorin.
According to Adams, the idea for the construction of the lecture theatres was to take care of the rising population of students at the institution. He said the university would also construct additional toilets to provide adequate convenience for the students.
“The ongoing extension of the university library is part of its effort to be responsive to the growing number of its students,” he stated.
Adams added by saying that the institution was prudent in the management of fund and that the university does not have any record of abandoned projects.
The director commended the university authority for its open-door policy and transparent administration, especially in the areas of project execution and other sundry matters.
