Dr. Folaranmi Olowoleni, Registrar, University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), has warned that the institution has zero tolerance for cultism and drug abuse.
The Registrar gave the warning on Monday while declaring open a three-day orientation program for the 2018/19 newly-admitted students of the institution.
Olowoleni cautioned the students to shun examination malpractices and indecent dressing and also urged the students to maintain hard-work, perseverance, commitment and adherence to the school’s rules and regulations as contained in the students’ handbook.
She advised them to take advantage of the guidance and counsel provided by the institution’s Guidance and Counselling Unit.
Also, Prof. Sylvia Malomo, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) of the university, who was also present at the orientation event, urged the students to be focused and lead a purposeful life.
