Nasir El-Rufai, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, will deliver the Guest lecture when the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED) holds its 4th Distinguished Guest Lecture in Ondo City tomorrow, among dignitaries expected is the Ooni of Ile-Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.
The lecture entitled, “Transforming Nigerian Educational System: Looking Back and Looking Forward” was organised to identify the current challenges bedeviling the country’s education sector while proffering practical solutions to improve the standard of education in Nigeria.
The Guest lecture to be delivered by Kaduna State Governor, Mallam el-Rufai is expected to attract education regulatory bodies and other stakeholders from across the country.
Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of UNIMED Governing Council, Dr. Temitayo Fawehinmi is the Host while Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is the Chief Host.
The Vice Chancellor, UNIMED, Prof. Friday Okonofua Fas said education is the driver of development all over the world and what Nigeria needs more than anything else is education, hence, the need for the public lecture.
