According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the foundation laying of the Teaching Hospital of Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has indicated hope on the horizon for the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) program of the institution.
The Governor of Osun state, Rauf Aregbesola has ensured that he laid the foundation for the 250 bed of the UNIOSUN teaching hospital on Thursday in Oshogbo, the state capital.
The foundation laying ceremony was witnessed by Isiaka Oyetola, the chancellor of the institution, Folorunsho Alakija who was accompanied by her husband.
Folorunsho Alakija donated the teaching hospital to the university when she was made the pro-chancellor by the governor of Osun state.
“The decision to lay the foundation of the teaching hospital today is deliberate to coincide with the 7th convocation of the institution and more importantly, as a mark of honor to the dynamic Governor of the state and Visitor to the institution,” Alakija said.
