The Chairman, Senate Ceremonial Committee of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), Prof. Kenneth Ofokansi, has advised the newly admitted candidates into the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) to do without social media.

The candidates who are seeking admission into the university through the JUPEB were advised to manage their time well, to spend less time on social media and to remain focused on their studies.

Ofokansi who gave the advice in a lecture titled; “Ethical issues and time management”, also advised the new students to be diligent.

“Spending too much time on social media and other frivolities will be a stumbling block towards achieving your dream of being admitted into UNN regular program through JUPEB.

“Avoid bad friends and give serious attention to reading of recommended textbooks and doing your assignment. If you work hard in this one year JUPEB program, it will make it possible for you to be admitted in the UNN’s regular program next year,” he stated.

Earlier, the Director of UNN JUPEB, Prof. Aloysius Okolie, said the program had been firmly institutionalized in UNN, following the inauguration of JUPEB administrative office by the university Vice Chancellor.
