Three lecturers from different Nigerian universities have called on Nigerian university students to shun evil vices, waywardness and imbibe the ideals of God.
Prof. David Irefin of Kogi State University, Dr. Ememobong Udoh and Ambassador Amah Williams both of the Akwa State university spoke in Calabar yesterday during a fund raising event to help convey as much as 300 Nigerian students to Ghana to participate in this year’s Evangelical Peace March slated to hold next month.
The said students are members of the Association of Brotherhood Academic Scholars, a group of lecturers and students coming together for the sole purposes of promoting academic excellence, virtuous living and preaching peace amongst students.
Prof. David Irefin of the Kogi state university and a past international president of ABAS, said students must shun bad western influences adding that it was not pleasing that university students were associated with criminal tendencies and violence.
Ambassador Williams, who is the General Secretary of ABAS, explained that the ABAS Evangelical Peace March was aimed at promoting love and unity among youths.
