A total number of 12,108 students graduate from the University of Ilorin as the institution holds its 34th convocation ceremony which is the highest number of graduates in the 43 years history of the university.
According to Independent Newspaper, Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Sulyman Abdulkareem made this known while briefing men of the press on the ceremony.
“10,330 of the students were those who just completed their first degree or diploma programs, the remaining 1,778 were of the higher degrees and postgraduate diplomas,” the VC said.
“103 of the students bagged first class honors, 2,553 came out with second class upper division, 5,750 with second class lower division, 1,660 with third class, while 36 had pass,” the VC added.
