Applicants seeking registration for the coming Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) were sent back home yesterday by Covenant University in Ota, over non availability of materials to register them except for a few who want to register for direct entry.
Those who are to sit for the UTME were asked to come back at no particular date to the ICT center which is handling the registration and where the examination will also take place for their registrations.
Some of the affected applicants told pressmen that they felt highly disappointed that upon the claim by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), that the ongoing registration exercise for the examination at various Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centers across the country is smooth and seamless.
A parent, Akin by name who took his son to the school for the registration said, “I was told there is no materials and no certainty when the materials will be available,” Akin stated.
